Most Contests are fitted with Gebo hatches, those more than about five years old often suffer from acute internal corrosion of the hinges caused by a design fault whereby metal inserts were fitted to retain the end caps and these were very prone to corrosion. IMP who distribute Gebo have a repair kit to solve the problem which costs £9 per hinge. A fiddly job but worth doing. Tel: 01763 241300 They can also supply spare end caps which often go missing.
